Professional Counselling Services are available and operating  from the rooms of Springwood Uniting Church, with three Counsellors and one Clinical Psychologist.   Their services are built on the foundation of compassion, care and confidentiality for people in all kinds of life situations.

Their Service is a non-denominational service that offers individual, relationship and family counselling, as well as child and adolescent counselling.

The counsellors are trained professionals who are active in their Christian faith. Some of the life issues addressed include:

  • Relationship enrichment
  • Depression
  • Anger
  • Self esteem
  • Grief
  • Spirituality
  • Communication
  • Separation and divorce
  • Surviving sexual abuse
  • Personal growth

Marriage Preparation and Enrichment

“Prepare” is a marriage preparation questionnaire you and your partner work through with a trained professional. It is one of the most reliable marriage preparation tools.

“Enrich” is a relationship enrichment questionnaire which involves meeting with a trained professional who will help you identify strengths and growth areas in your relationship.

“Prepare” and “Enrich” have a processing fee of $48 and typically take about 3 sessions. The sessions are charged according to the Counsellor’s  fee scale. A great investment for your relationship.

Kids with Courage

Kids with Courage for primary aged children is both a remedial and preventative program.  Using creative approaches such as puppetry, drama and craft, children access and explore feelings, boundaries, social skills, grief, fear and self esteem.
